New Windsor Couple Sentenced In 'Family Ties' Drug Bust

NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – A New Windsor husband and wife both received sentencing on Thursday for their roles in the "Family Ties" drug sweep throughout the area, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Ruben Cruz, 53, will serve up to six years in prison after second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. His wife, Nancy Cruz, 46, was facing stiffer charges but pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug possession and will be released with time served, the Record said. 

The couple was found with more than four ounces of cocaine in their home when it was searched, the Record said.
