If you're not sure where – or how – to get in on the solar eclipse craze, we're here to help.

Several libraries in the County will be hosting events, including:

  • Cornwall Public Library
  • Goshen Public Library
  • Port Jervis Free Library
  • Wallkill Public Library

If you're looking for a more intimate experience with the solar eclipse, make sure to do it safely. Make sure any glasses you use to view the eclipse have the designation ISO 12312-2. They should also have a manufacturer's name on them.

Orange County residents should expect to see roughly 70-75 percent of the total eclipse with the peak occurring around 2:44 p.m.

Not sure where to get your glasses? The American Astronomical Society has you covered. Click here for a list of vendors
