A registered sex offender convicted of raping a teenage girl has reported an address change in Orange County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 55-year-old Pedro Rosda, who has moved to a residence on South Lander Street in Newburgh.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Rosda a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Rosda had deviate sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old victim in August 1996. He was convicted of third-degree rape of a victim under the age of 17 in May the following year. Rosda is now under the jurisdiction of the Newburgh City Police Department.

Further info on Rosda from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
