A registered sex offender convicted of raping two teenagers has reported a move in Orange County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Friday to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 62-year-old Wilbert Pittman, who has moved to an apartment on Broadway in Newburgh.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Pittman as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Pittman had deviate sexual intercourse and contact with a 15 and 16-year-old girl in July 2006. He was convicted of third-degree rape later that year and sentenced to 10 years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Newburgh City Police Department.

Further info on Pittman from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
