Cornwall Man Steals $25K Worth Of Equipment In New Windsor, Police Say

A Cornwall man was busted for stealing more than $25,000 worth of equipment in New Windsor, according to Cornwall Police Chief Todd Hazard.

Michael D’Onofrio, 27, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 1, and charged with four felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property and one count of criminal possession of stolen property, following an investigation in conjunction with the Town of New Windsor Police Department, Hazard said.

 Recovered during the investigation were three construction trailers, an articulating excavator bucket, and a skid steer snow blower attachment all of which had been reported stolen. 

The combined value of the property was in excess of $25,000, Hazard said.

D”Onofrio was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2500 bail.
