Police Sergeant Who Worked In Monroe, Warwick Retires

The Ramapo Police Department announced on Thursday the retirement of Sgt. Vincent Eichner, who has been with the department for 30 years and starting his law enforcement career in Orange County.

Eichner began his law enforcement career in 1984 with the Village of Warwick Police Department and in 1985 moved to the Village of Monroe Police Department before landing in Ramapo in 1987.

Eicher spent many years as a sergeant on midnight duty in addition to serving as a Firearms Instructor. He also received FBI certification in Basic SWAT & Defensive Tactics and served on the Rockland County REACT Team. 

The department held a ceremony to wish him well and to thank him for his many years of service.
