ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – Labor Day may have been picture perfect, but the short work week that follows will be filled with rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will begin partly sunny with increasing clouds. Rain and possible Thunderstorms could move through the area in the afternoon with highs near 80 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Showers and more thunderstorms will continue through Wednesday, though temperatures will struggle to reach 70 degrees. Chance of rain is 70 percent.

Scattered showers will linger on Thursday along with mostly cloudy skies. Expect highs near 70.

Rain will finally begin to move out of the area on Friday with highs around 68.
