Showers and thunderstorms moving across the area are making for a slick morning commute in the Hudson Valley on Thursday morning.
Dangerous lightning, thunder and heavy rainfall have accompanied the round of storms.
There have been gauge reports of up to 1 inch of rainfall occurring within an hour. Minor flooding of poor drainage areas is expected across the advisory area.
Showers are expected to continue until around 3 p.m. Thursday, with more storms possible. There will still be a chance for more showers through the evening. Thursday's high temperature will be in the mid-70s.
