The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 54-year-old Dennis Bacon, who has moved from Bakers Mills in Warren County to an address on Seward Avenue in Middletown.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Bacon as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." He has also been designated as a predicate sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Bacon had unwanted sexual contact with his victim in March 2015 and was convicted of forcible touching in August that year. He had a previous conviction for forcibly touching other's sexual or intimate parts, which led to his original registration as a sex offender. Following his second conviction, Bacon was sentenced to a term of 180 years in jail. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Middletown City Police Department.
