Tree Splits, Falls On Croton Home CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A homeowner on Glengary Road had a close call when an old tree split and part of it fell on the house on Saturday, according to Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.The fire department responded to the home after receiving a call about the fall. Department officials were able to determine that were no injuries and that no overhead wires or other utilities were involved. The owner was told to contact a tree company to have the tree removed.

The cat, a gray tabby, was found in the area of Tanager Road and Wright Road in Mahopac. The cat was seen earlier in contact with other cats in the area, according to reports. According to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Jennifer was struck by a 69-year-old woman as she was walking north on the shoulder of Lucas Avenue.  Mobile Life Support services transported her to Health Alliance Broadway Campus where she later died.
