Nationwide Meat, Poultry Recall Tops 1.5M Pounds: What To Check
A nationwide meat and poultry recall has prompted federal food safety officials to warn consumers to check their refrigerators before their next meal.
Kayem Foods Inc., based in Chelsea, Massachusetts, is recalling approximately 1,584,361 pounds of ready-to-eat products because they may have been stored at improper temperatures, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recalled products were shipped to retail and foodservice locations nationwide and in Hong Kong. They were produced approximately between Tuesday, March 31, and Wednesday, Oct. 7.
