Four Orange County Residents Face DWI Charges In State Police Stops

New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley busted several more motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the past week-plus.

The local residents charged were:

Orange County

  • On Friday, Nov. 14, State Police troopers in Middletown arrested Roman Zawojski, 24, of Chester, for DWI. He was traveling on East Main Street in Middletown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 14, State Police troopers in Hamptonburgh arrested Jose Flores, 34, of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 9W in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 15, State Police troopers in Montgomery arrested Ava Leischen, 27, of Newburgh, for DWI. She was traveling on Leroy Place in Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 15, State Police troopers in Montgomery arrested Ahmed Abdelaziz, 39, of Maybrook, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Route 208 in Montgomery when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs and he was subsequently arrested. He was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Nov. 15, State Police troopers in Montgomery arrested Priscilla Gonzalez, 25, of Wappingers Falls, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 32 in Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.
