Newburgh Schools Accepted Into National Technology Coalition

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Newburgh Enlarged City School District was recently accepted into a national coalition with the mission to accelerate innovation in education.

The League of Innovative Schools by organized by Digital Promise, a non-profit that hopes to improve the opportunity to learn for all through technology and research.

Newburgh was selected from a competitive national pool of applicants based on its leadership, evidence of results, innovative vision for learning, and commitment to collaboration.

“It is an honor to be recognized nationally as a school district that is accelerating innovation. We are looking forward to collaborating with other trailblazers who are transforming learning environments and are getting results.” Superintendent Dr. Roberto Padilla said. 

The League of Innovative Schools, launched in late 2011, accepts new members through an open application process once per year. With the new members, the League now includes 93 school districts in 33 states.
