Local Gov't Trash Hauler Charged After Speeding Into Guide Rail: PA State Police
A local government trash hauler was involved in a crash in which speeding was a factor, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Lanchei A. Williams, 45, of Philadelphia, crashed into a guardrail along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway in Tinicum Township, Delaware County at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Williams suffered minor injuries and was taken to Taylor Hospital, police said.
The trash truck was traveling too fast when its tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control and roll over, police said.

Alcohol and speeding are possible factors in the crash of an ATV in Hazleton, authorities said.
Omar A. Veloz, 37, lost control of his ATV, crashing into a telephone pole, according to Hazleton police.
On Sunday, Sept. 1 shortly before midnight, police were dispatched to Diamond Avenue and Cedar Street for a report of a crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a Can-Am Maverick with significant damage, they said.
Police learned that the ATV operator had been trying to pass a vehicle while traveling north on Cedar Street at a high rate of speed.

Speeding, Weaving Motorist From Norwalk Nabbed For DUI In Wilton, Police Say
A Fairfield County man driving a 2024 Lexus NX 350 was nabbed for alleged DUI and other charges after he was spotted by police speeding and weaving.
John Tacconi, age 66, of Norwalk, was charged in Wilton on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on Danbury Road.
According to Wilton Police Deputy Chief Robert Cipolla, an officer clocked Tacconi traveling at 60 mph in a 40 mph zone on Danbury Road and weaving in and out of the double yellow line.
Tacconi admitted to the officer he had consumed alcohol before driving, and he had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech, Cipolla said.

Speed Key Factor In Crash That Killed 3 In Hatboro: Police
Soeed was the contributing factor in a crash that killed three people on Friday, Aug. 23 in Hatboro, authorities said.
At 6:35 p.m., the Hatboro Police Department responded to County Line Road and Park Avenue for a report of a crash with entrapment.
Police found the crash involved three vehicles, one of which flipped on its roof.
