Wallkill Man, 27, Killed After Crashing Into Pole On Route 300

A 27-year-old man was killed in an early morning crash after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a utility pole, according to Town of Newburgh Police.

Christopher Page, 27, of the Hamlet of Wallkill, was traveling north on Route 300 at 6:45 a.m. Monday, when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a utility pole at the intersection of Union Avenue, said Lt. James Nenni.

Page was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, Nenni added.

Nenni said that Page was alone and that no other vehicles were involved. The accident is under investigation.
