US Veteran Hospitalized After Fire Consumes Hudson Valley Home A two-alarm house fire in Putnam County damaged a residence and prompted a massive response on Thursday afternoon, April 17.  The fire broke out at around 12:45 p.m. at a home on Seven Oaks Lane in Southeast, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  Brewster Fire Chief Michael Miller was first on scene and confirmed a working structure fire, immediately requesting a second alarm.  The homeowner, an elderly US military veteran, was inside the home at the time of the blaze but managed to escape without injury.
