Man Tries Robbing Bank, Claims To Be Armed In Westchester A man who tried robbing a bank in Westchester was later apprehended thanks to teamwork from police and the FBI, authorities said. The incident happened in Yonkers at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, when a male suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 1076 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers Police Sgt. 2 Pulled From Wrecked Car In Upper Nyack Two people were rescued after a vehicle slammed into a pole in the Hudson Valley, leaving it tipped on its side. The crash happened in Rockland County on Saturday, Jan. 25 just after 9:30 p.m., when a car hit a pole in Nyack on Old Mountain Road near North Midland Avenue, according to the Nyack Fire Department.
