South Salem Woman Caught Putting Items In Purse At Carmel Supermarket A South Salem woman was nabbed for shoplifting $68.46 worth of items from the Tops Supermarket recently, according to Carmel Police. Michele Ciacci, 32, was arrested and charged with petit larceny for putting razors, shampoo, condition, and face wipes in her purse and attempting to leave the store without paying, police said. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court.

Vehicle Stopped Halfway On Road Leads To Ramapo DWI Charge RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley woman was arrested early Thursday after she pulled over halfway into the roadway to let a passenger out to urinate in the roadway, according to Ramapo police. The arrest occurred around 5 a.m. in the Village of Montebello after a patrol officer watched the vehicle stop halfway in the road as a man stepped out of the car and urinated in the roadway, police said. The officer pulled over the vehicle and found that the 42-year-old woman was intoxicated, failing all field sobriety tests. She was charged with DWI and released on her own recognizance, police said.
