Man Kicks In Door, Stabs Two In New City, Police Say
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Pomona man kicked in the door to enter a New City home then stabbed a man and a woman as their 2-year-old child was in the home, according to Clarkstown Police.
Brandyn Johnston, 24, was arrested after police tracked him to Mount Ivy following the attack which took place around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on West Clarkstown Road, said Officer Peter Walker, spokesman for the department.
Johnston stabbed his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend and 35-year-old man after kicking in the door to the home during a domestic dispute, Walker said.

Suspicious Vehicle In Southeast Leads To DWI Charge For 29-Year-Old
Putnam County sheriff's deputies nabbed a drunk driver after checking out a suspicious vehicle parked along North Brewster Road in the Town of Southeast.
When Deputy Ronald Yeager arrived to check out the report of the suspicious vehicle, he found a male sitting in the driver’s seat, with the vehicle’s keys in the ignition and the engine running, said Capt. William McNamara.
The deputy discovered that the driver of the car, Yerlin Giron, 29, of Danbury, Conn., was intoxicated, McNamara said.
