Dutchess Won't Be 'A Quiet Place' During Paramount Horror Movie Production
Now Hudson Valley knows the name of the major motion picture that will lead to the closure of a road in Dutchess for nearly two months starting next week. "A Quiet Place," a supernatural horror film starring John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt, will result in the closure of West Dover Road in the towns of Dover and Pawling from Sept. 6 to Oct. 23 as the film is produced at Starkdale Farm. Bicyclist Killed In Route 6 Crash ID'd As Doctor
A bicyclist killed Friday on Route 6 near the Putnam/Westchester border has been identified as a 68-year-old doctor from Danbury, Conn., according to Putnam County Sheriff Donald Smith. ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 32-year-old Rockland man was charged with DWI after police found him asleep in a running car near a school on Route 210, said Stony Point police. Car Fires Break Out At Walmart In White Plains
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Walmart shoppers got quite a scare on Wednesday night when the store was evacuated because of multiple vehicle fires in the store's parking garage in White Plains. Eight vehicles caught fire around 9:30 p.m. in the parking garage on the sixth-floor in the center of Lot P3, according to White Plains Fire Chief Rich Lyman.
