Construction Worker Suffers Injuries In Yonkers Fall A construction worker who fell into a hole on Wednesday while building a foundation in Yonkers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Yonkers Police. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at 3 Avondale Road, said Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.  "The crew was building a foundation and he fell into a deep hole," he said.  The unidentified worker was rescued by firefighters and taken to a local trauma center to get checked-out, he added. Reports Of Man Yelling, Acting Strangely Lead To DWI Arrest On Route 9W STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A 60-year-old man was arrested after police received numerous 911 calls Tuesday about a man yelling and acting strangely on Route 9W, according to the  Stony Pont Police. One caller was able to provide police with a license plate number, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Officers responded to address on the license and found Richard Licata, 60, of Tomkins Cove, Hylas added. After an investigation, Licata was charged with DWI. He was processed and later released with an appearance ticket with a court date of Sept. 26.
