But when officers arrived on scene they found the cyclist had not been hit but instead had flipped over the front of the bike after thinking he was going to be hit, said Sgt. Kirk Vega. The cyclist received minor scrapes and injuries.

Woman Who Crashes Jeep On Taconic Impaired By Drugs, Police Say A 55-year-old woman was charged with DWAI/Drugs after state troopers responded to a one-car crash Wednesday on the Taconic State Parkway, according to state police. Ferne M. Peterson, of Fishkill, was arrested around 8:20 a.m. after troopers responded to the collision on the southbound side of the Parkway in Dutchess, said Trooper Melissa McMorris.
