Woman Extricated After RAV4 Slams Into Stone Wall In Spring Valley ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman who was suffering from a medical condition had to be extricated from her vehicle Wednesday after slamming into a stone wall in Spring Valley, according to Spring Valley police. When police arrived on scene around 11 p.m. in the area of 47 West St., they found a 2014 RAV4 on its roof with a 21-year-old woman trapped inside, said Office Matthew Galli. Teen Charged With Cashing Checks Stolen From Mailboxes In Putnam PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. - A Putnam County teen was recently arrested for stealing checks from 20 mailboxes and then depositing them in his own account following a month-long investigation by the Kent Police Department. Isaiah Fredericks, 19, of Kent was arrested after Detective Ray Beauchesne received a call from a Lake Carmel resident on June 8 who reported several checks had been taken from his mailbox and cashed at a local bank, said Kent Police Alex DiVernieri. Car Slams Into Front Of I-84 Diner In Fishkill DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A car slammed into the front of the I-84 Diner in Fishkill around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, causing a little commotion, but not major damage. A diner employee said it was a "little scary" when the driver hit a pole that holds up an awning front, but they were glad no one was injured. Woman Who Crashes Into Ditch With Child In Car Was Drunk, Kent Police Say PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. - A Kent woman who was charged with felony DWI was driving at almost three times the legal limit with her child in the car, according to Kent Police. Jessica Woelfle, 32, was recently arrested after Officer Jason Knapp responded to a report of a car crash on Farmers Mills Road in the area of Whitepond Road and found Woelfle standing on the side of the road with a child, said Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri. The body of a man who jumped off the Bear Mountain Bridge was recovered Wednesday during a search, according to the New York State Police. The man jumped from the bridge around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. Poughkeepsie Police Unit Recovers Crack, $3K During Warrant Search DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man was busted for possession of crack cocaine by members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit during the execution of a search warrant.
