Wappinger State Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Suspect The New York State Police from Wappinger is asking for the public's help identifying the man pictured who is wanted for questioning.  The man is accused of using a stolen debit card in the town and city of Newburgh to make approximately $2,900 in ATM withdrawals. The withdrawals were made between Jan. 14 and 15, state police said. Police said the man appeared to be driving a Chrysler 200. Man Shoots, Kills Himself In Front Of Officer At Harriman State Park An unidentified man shot himself to death Monday in front of a New York State Park police officer at Harriman State Park, according to the NYSPP. The incident occurred around 1:11 p.m. at the park, said Dan Keefe, spokesman for the park police. The officer was not injured and all park visitors were safe, officials said. Keefe said park police were not releasing additional information regarding the incident. Harriman is New York's second-largest state park. Car Slams Into Pole On Route 123 In South Salem This story has been updated. South Salem firefighters worked with the Vista Fire Department to removed a person trapped in a car that had rolled over on Route 123 around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Car 2451 was the first unit on scene and confirmed a single vehicle rollover, into a pole, with one person trapped. Crews from Vista E143 and R21 worked together to stabilize the vehicle and extricate the victim, said officials with South Salem. Man Who Crashes Car Into Pole In Ramapo Was Drunk, Police Say ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A local man who crashed into a telephone pole in the Village of Airmont around 4 a.m. Sunday was not injured, but he was drunk, according to the Ramapo Police.The impact of the crash split the pole in half, police said. The unidentified man's passenger was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital after complaining of chest pains, police said. The driver was charged with DWI and released.  Orange and Rockland Utilities responded to the scene to replace the telephone pole.
