New Hamburg Fire Injures One, Destroys Boat A boat was destroyed and the boater burned during a fire at White's Marina in New Hamburg around 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the New Hamburg Fire Department. The boat, which was anchored at the end of the dock was engulfed when firefighters arrived, said Chief Jeff Renihan.  Due to the lack of water on the dock, the fire department used the department's marine unit to put out the flames, he said. Woman In Critical Condition Following Poughkeepsie Fire A 57-year-old Poughkeepsie woman is in critical condition following an intense fire on Wednesday that also injured two firefighters, according to Assistant Fire Chief Edward Decker. The fire, which started around 4:54 p.m. at 99 Hooker Ave., was hardly visible to firefighters when they arrived on scene, but exploded when firefighters opened the door to the woman's apartment where the fire started, Decker said. Chapa, (also known as Tenesaca) who was born Oct. 30, 1998, in Girno, Ecuador, died Friday, June 9, in a drowning accident. Police Search For Stolen Car Suspect In Hyde Park After locating a car that was stolen in Hyde Park on Sunday with the help of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, New York State Police are now asking the public for help in locating the suspect. The car, a 2004 Honda CRV, was stolen from a driveway located on Friendship Lane during the overnight hours.  On Monday, City of Poughkeepsie officers located the car on Cannon Street, but not the suspect, said the state police. The drones, which cost Clarkstown about $22,000, can reach altitudes of 400 feet, and be used for such incidents as viewing traffic accidents, searching for suspects or for looking for people lost in the woods or during natural disasters. Dutchess 17-Year-Old Charged With Sexually Abusing Child A 17-year-old Dutchess teen has been charged with sexually assaulting a child on Tuesday in the Town of Clinton, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. Devin Huber, who resides in Clinton, was arrested after deputies received a report around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday of a child being sexually assaulted, said  Capt. John Watterson.
