A reported TOR bus fire in Nanuet around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday turned out to be smoke coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle, according to Rockland County Executive Ed Day. The incident, which took place on Smith Street, caused all 20 passengers to get off the bus while the Nanuet Fire Department and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office responded, Day added. ID Released For Man Killed While Cutting Down Tree In Dutchess DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. --  A 38-year-old Union Vale man killed while cutting down trees on Mallory  Road Tuesday has been identified, according to the New York State Police. Zane A. Grey was felling trees with a chainsaw, clearing a vacant parcel of land located on Mallory Road when he was struck and became pinned underneath a large tree, said Trooper Melissa McMorris. Joseph Fragano, 46, of White Plains was killed around 8:33 p.m. Tuesday after crashing his Buick sedan into a utility pole, bringing down the pole's transformer and wires, according to Sgt.
