ID Released For Monsey Baby Killed In Accident Involving Unlicensed Driver
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 15-month-old infant run over by a taxi operated by an unlicensed driver on Sunday in Monsey has been identified as Ephraim Szydlow of Monsey, according to Ramapo Police.
The incident, which occurred around 4:58 p.m. on Johanna Lane, happened when an American Latina Taxi operated by Jorge Garrangui-Castillo, 41, of Monsey picked up two people at the home and was backing out of the driveway when the cab struck the infant, who was sitting in the driveway, said Det. Sgt. Brian Corbett.

Skydiver Hits Tree, Falls 30 Feet To Ground In Rhinebeck, Police Say
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A skydiver missed his landing mark on Sunday and instead hit a tree and fell 30 feet to the ground, according to Rhinebeck police.
The accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. at 3631 Mill St. at the American Legion when David Jacbaruso of Gardner, hit a tree, became entangled and fell 30 feet to the ground, breaking his wrist in the process, said Sgt. Peter Dunn.
Jacbaruso, who suffered a broken wrist, was taken to an area hospital for treatment by Rhinebeck EMS, Dunn added.
