Spring Valley Man Nabbed For DWI During Traffic Stop, Sheriff Says
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley man driving on a suspended registration was nabbed on Sunday for driving drunk, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Luis Guaman-Tacuri, 26, was charged with DWI, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level over .08 percent, and driving with a suspended registration after sheriff's deputies stopped him around 4 a.m. on Maple Ave., said Sgt. Albert Brunner.
While talking with Guaman-Tacuri, deputies could tell he was intoxicated, Brunner said.
He was processed at Sheriff's headquarters in New City and released on summonses.

Three people received serious injuries Monday during a five-car crash on I-84 westbound in Putnam County, according to the New York State Police.
New York State Police from the East Fishkill barracks responded to the accident that occurred around 12:42 p.m., said Trooper Melissa McMorris.

Hopewell Junction Brothers Charged With DWI, Resisting Arrest After Stop
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two Hopewell Junction brothers were arrested following a traffic stop Sunday after one was found to be driving drunk and the other, who was wanted on a parole violation, fled from police, according to the Town of Lloyd Police.
Arnold J. Falgiano Jr., 31, and Cameron F. Falgiano, 21, were arrested after being stopped for traffic violations on Chapel Hill Road in Highland, said Lt. James Janso.
The younger brother was charged with DWI after officers found that he was intoxicated while driving. He was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3.

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie "Bloods" gang member who admitted to shooting a person during a 2016 robbery, was sentenced Friday to 18 years in state prison and five years post-release supervision.
