Law Enforcement Day For Ronald McDonald House Kids Coming To Rockland
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Children going through serious medical treatment will have a chance to have some fun along with their families on Monday, July 10, when local law enforcement groups team up to provide a trip to Kruckers Camp Grounds in Pomona.
The kids and their families, from the Ronald McDonald House, will be treated to a day full of food, entertainment, water slides, bouncy houses, arcades and much more, said Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco III.

Infant Hit By Route 59 Road Rage Driver Dies
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 3-month-old infant who was run over along with three other family members during a road rage incident on Route 59 in Monsey died Wednesday, according to the Ramapo Police Department.
The baby died at the Westchester Medical Center early Wednesday morning from his injuries, said Det. Sgt. Brian Corbett.
The baby, who was being pushed in a stroller, was hit June 26 along with his mother, 38, and two sisters, ages 13 and 9, by Albert Gomez, 62, of Spring Valley.

Former Ramapo Officer Sues Town, Claiming Race, Gender Discrimination
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former Ramapo police officer filed a notice of claim to sue the town, claiming she was treated unfairly because of her race and gender, according to the claim.
Yolanda Tyson, who was hired in 2005, plans to sue the town for $75 million for discrimination in salary, overtime, promotions, benefits, and discipline, which the notice says began in February 2006.
