East Fishkill Police Captain Calls It A Career EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- After more than 33 years as a member of the East Fishkill Police Department, Capt. Dwayne P. Doughty called it a career on Friday, June 30. Doughty has spent the last 33 plus years as a member of the department and has held the positions of police officer, juvenile officer, detective, sergeant, detective lieutenant, and captain.  He began his career in East Fishkill in 1983 as the department was transitioning from a department of part-time officers to a full-fledged police department.  The department sent Doughty off in style and thanked him for serving the community …

Hillburn Man Yells Slurs In Attack On Hispanics, Police Say ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  A Hillburn man was charged with felony assault after attacking two men while yelling racial slurs, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Suffern Police Chief Clark Osborn. Suffern Police Officer Andrew Yorke was on patrol in the business district when he was flagged down by a person who told him a fight was in progress on Chestnut Street, Osborn said.
