Garnerville Man Driving Erratically Charged With DWI, Police Say ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Garnerville man was charged Sunday with DWI after he was spotted driving erratically, according to  Stony Point Police. Tomas Rivera, 74, faces two counts of DWI and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle after officers received information of a person driving erratically on Cinder Road just after midnight, police said. Minutes later, officers were able to locate Rivera, and when stopped he was slow to respond to officer's orders to put the car in park. Robert Peterson, 41, of Rensselaer, was stopped around 5:25 a.m. when deputies noticed he was driving in an erratic manner with equipment violations on Route 45 in Hillcrest, sheriff's officials said. Fireworks Spectacular Coming To Lewisboro LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Lewisboro is getting a jump on celebrating the Fourth of July with a fireworks spectacular on Saturday at Onatru Farm Park.The fun-filled evening sponsored by the town along with Mercedes-Benz of Goldens Bridge will include entertainment and fireworks.  Residents are invited to come early (gates open at 5 p.m.) and picnic. They're also reminded to bring blankets, chairs, and flashlights. The park is at 99 Elmwood Road, South Salem. Admission is $20 per car.
