Harold P. Gaska, 90, Formerly Of Peekskill
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Harold P. Gaska, 90, formerly of Peekskill, died Sunday, at the Pine Haven Home of Philmont.
Born March 3, 1927, in Peekskill he was the son of the late Thomas and Adelaide Gaska.
Gaska served in the U.S. Army during World War II and enjoyed good music and doing puzzles.
He was predeceased by his step-mother Emily (Zembrowski) Gaska, sister Helen and three brothers, George, Walter, and Wilbur Gaska.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of 209 Main St. Germantown. Friends will be received at the funeral home for one hour …
Complaints Of Drug Dealing Lead To Heroin Bust In Beacon
Dutchess County Drug Task Force members arrested a Beacon man and seized heroin and thousands of dollars in cash during a warrant search on Wednesday.
Agents with the task force executed the warrant at 9 Mead Ave., after receiving reports of drug sales taking place at the home, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.
During the search, agents arrested David Bruno, 40, after finding more than a half-ounce of heroin, scales, and packaging materials. They also seized more than $3,000 in cash, said Tasciotti.

Stamford Man Caught With Stolen Car After Police Chase In Rockland
A Stamford man and two others are facing possession of stolen property charges after they were stopped while driving a stolen car from Stamford on Tuesday, June 13, in Spring Valley, N.Y., police said.
The men, who took police on a brief foot chase after being stopped, were driving a car that had been reported stolen last week, said police.
After officers stopped the vehicle, the men jumped out and fled through Memorial Park, police said. A foot pursuit ensued, but the suspects were apprehended shortly after by responding patrol units, added police.

Ossining Teen Detained By ICE Now Due To Be Deported Friday
After two weeks of protests, letter writing, phone calls, and behind-the-scenes lobbying, Ossining teen Diego Puma Macancela will most likely be deported to his native Ecuador on Friday, Carola Bracco, executive director of Neighbors Link, said Thursday morning.
"We are deeply disappointed with the decision by ICE to move forward with the deportation to Ecuador of our client, Diego Puma Macancela," she said. "It is likely he will leave the United States on Friday, as will his mother."

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two Spring Valley men and a third from Connecticut are facing possession of stolen property charges after being stopped while driving a stolen car on Tuesday, June 13, said Spring Valley Police.
