Full-Day Kindergarten Comes To North Rockland After years of climbing out from underneath a heavy debt load, the North Rockland Central School District believes it has found a way to offer something parents have been clamoring for -- full day kindergarten. According to Superintendent Ileana Eckert, the district will offer three all-day classes under a one-year pilot program that will be funded with $350,000 Title 1 funding grants. Nearly Two Dozen Displaced In Dutchess Fire A heavy fire in an apartment at the Hyde Park Heights Apartment around 8:22 a.m. Sunday left more than 20 residents displaced, according to Hyde Park Fire Chief Steve Wilcha.
